Abstract

The requirement of returning to literal tradition and Wang Anshi's alternationThe Song dynasty paid attention to civil administration. Selecting officials through the yearly state examination brought a rapid rising of the flunky class and prosperity in literature. This kind of literal prosperity began to follow the pattern that had been focused on Confucianism along with the inclusion of Buddhism and Taoism, and that had established the tradition of the heightened literature of Song Dynasty.At that time Wang Anshi insisted that Dufu and Dushi should be studied for the literal tradition, because there were the idea of Confucian personality and royalty in Dufu's poetry focusing on his idea of state affairs.Especially, Wang Anshi also demonstrated the justness of following Dufu through the salient comparison of Dufu's moral sternness with Libo's self-indulgence. He also promoted the academic atmosphere of Dufu's poetry and devoted himself to studying them to learn Dufu's creative spirit and technique. His attitude made a great effect on the way of creativity of Husanting Jian and Sushi.
