This paper analyzes the trend of localization of manufacturing industry in China from regional level. The method use the location quotient and the average agglomeration rate. The data use the value added and the employment. The result of location quotient finds that Shanxi, Neimenggu, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Henan, Sichuan, Shaaanxi, Qinghai higher than 1, and Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong lower than 1, and another Western region lower than 1. The result of average agglomeration rate finds that Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Heilongjiang, Jilin has decreasing trend, and Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Hunan, Jiangxi, Sichuan, Shaanxi has increasing trend. From the results, this paper concluded that the high level of regional development has lower localization trend, and the periphery regions has higher localization level than core regions.
