万葉集の亡妻挽歌 –柿本人麻呂「泣血哀慟歌」の方法–

This dissertation is presented at the 60th anniversary symposium at HUFS. The dissertation is study of methodology of Kyuketu-aidoka, the first song dealing with sorrow of a husband who lost his wife in Manyoshu. Kyuketu-aidoka is separated in two groups. Themes in both groups are contrasted each other. In the second group, a baby of the husband and wife is a token of their relationship (Katami). The token of relationship (Katami) reminds someone and emotion of longing for someone. However, the token of relationship in this song, the baby breaks common idea of the token. Kakinomoto Hitomaro explains a new meaning of ‘seeing’ in a song of Yoshino. Kyuketsu-aidoka also tries a new methodology of interpretation. Therefore, by the new interpretation of the token(Katami), the husband develops affection for the dead wife.
