아울러 ACG(애니메이션, 만화, 게임)선호도에 따른 조절효과에 대해 살펴보았다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine relationship between variables that virtual idol characteristics (authenticity, anthropomorphism, control, quasi-social interaction) and netizen characteristics (sociability, self-congruity), immersion(flow), and subscription intentions. We also examined the moderating effect of ACG (Anime, Manga(cartoon), and Games) preference. The results were as follows. First, path analysis of the structural model (Hypotheses 1 to 5). In the case of <Hypotheses 1 and 2>, both virtual idol characteristics (authenticity, anthropomorphism, control, quasi-social interaction) and netizen characteristics (sociability, self-congruity) were found to have a positive influence on immersion(flow). In particular, ‘Quasi-social interactio’ was found to have the greatest influence among virtual idol characteristics, and ‘self-congruity’ among netizen characteristics. Therefore, it has been confirmed that the main factors for immersion in content related to virtual idols are the familiarity or liking felt toward virtual idols and 'self-congruity', which allows one to feel vicarious pleasure. In the case of <Hypotheses 3 and 4>, among the ‘virtual idol characteristics’ factors, only ‘authenticity’ and ‘controllability’ were found to have a positive (+) influence on subscription intention. Among the ‘netizen characteristic’ factors, only self-congruity was found to have a positive influence on subscription intention. In particular, as with immersion, ‘self-congruity’ was found to have the greatest influence on subscription intention. In the case of <Hypothesis 5>, ‘immersion’ into virtual idols was found to have a positive (+) effect on ‘subscription intention’. In other words, the greater the immersion in virtual idols, the higher the intention to subscribe to related content, showing no difference from the results of existing previous studies. Second, verification of the moderating effect of ACG preference (Hypotheses 6-7). In the case of <Hypothesis 6>, among the ‘virtual idol characteristics factors, ‘control’ and ‘quasi-social interaction’ were found to have a moderating effect. In other words, in the group with low ACG preference (low), ‘control’ and ‘parasocial interaction’ were found to have a greater influence on immersion than in the group with high ACG preference (high). Meanwhile, in the case of <Hypothesis 7>, ACG preference was found to have no moderating effect between immersion and purchase intention. In other words, regardless of netizens' preference for ACG, there was no significant difference in purchase intention according to immersion.
