국어 의문문의 화용론적 중의성 해소 방법에 대한 연구

본고는 간접화행에서 발생하는 국어 의문문의 중의성을 해소하는 방법 몇 가지와, 이러한 중의성의 발생과 해소가 심리언어학에서 말하는 언어의 제약 조건들과 어떠한 상관관계가 있는지에 대해 고찰한 것이다. 본고에서는 국어 의문문 자료를 이용하여, 화용론적 중의성을 해소하는 몇 가지 방법으로 융합 및 탈락과 같이 언어의 형식구조에 조작을 가하는 방법과, 선택제약적 일탈 및 정보구조적 일탈과 같이 언어의 의미구조에 조작을 가하는 방법 등에 대해서 그 자세한 기제를 고찰하였다. 이렇게 하여 수사적 표현력과 같은 표현성의 제약을 충족하면서도, 화용론적 의미와 언어형식 사이에 직접적인 대응관계를 형성하여 명확성의 제약도 아울러 충족함으로써, 명확성과 표현성 사이에 일정한 균형을 이루게 됨을 밝혔다.
Abstract
The article will examine several methods of resolving Korean interrogative sentences happening in indirect speech act and this kind of occurrence and resolution of ambiguity has what correlation with the constraints in psycholinguistics. Using Korean interrogative sentences data, the article examined the method of operating formal structures like contraction and deletion as several methods of resolving pragmatic ambiguity, a detailed mechanism of the method of operating meaning structures of a language like selectional restriction deviation and informational structure deviation. In terms of this, the article identified a certain balance between clearness and expressiveness comes to exist by meeting the restriction of expressivity like rhetorically expressiveness and by also meeting the restriction of clearness with forming direct counterpart between pragmatic meaning and linguistic form.
