이 연구는 음성언어치료의 성과와 전망에 대한 소고이며, 언어병리학 분야에서 다루어지는 음성 혹은 목소리를 중심으로 관련 학문과의 연계성에서 어떻게 조화를 이루어 학제간적인 접근을 할 수 있는가를 모색해보는 것이다. 의사소통, 언어, 구어 중 한 가지 혹은 여러 가지에 어려움을 겪는 사람들에게 좀 더 낳은 언어재활 중재를 통해서 의사소통과 언어 및 구어의 본질과 말 산출의 기본적인 원리를 이해하고, 이러한 것들이 서로 어떻게 관계되어 있는가를 알아보고자 하였다. 말 산출을 위한 기본적인 원리에 해당하는 호흡, 발성, 공명 및 조음, 언어의 이해와 구상을 중추적으로 담당하는 신경계에 대한 이해를 통해 이루어진다. 말소리는 언어와 관련된 호흡기관의 기능, 음성의 생성과 조음의 원리, 언어와 관련된 신경계의 구조와 기능, 물리음향 및 청·지각에 대한 종합적인 접근을 통해 이루어져야 한다. 언어병리학과 관련 학문과의 연계성을 통해 언어학, 심리학, 음성공학, 음성의학적 측면에서 인접한 학문과의 통섭과 융합적인 측면에서 이루어져야 하는 것을 알 수 있다. 이와 더불어 관련 학문들과 서로 상호작용할 수 있는 부분에서의 접근을 통해 음성언어치료 분야의 필요성과 다양성 측면에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다.
Abstract
This is a study on outcome and prospect of speech treatment, and it reviewed the possibility of interdisciplinary harmony and approach in corelation with relevant studies while focusing on voice and voice tone being handled in the speech pathology field. The study tried to understand the nature of communication, language and speech and the mechanism of speech production and look into how they are related with each other through involvement for better linguistic treatments for those who suffer from one or several difficulties in respect of communication, language and speech. The fundamental mechanism of speech production can be understood through understanding on respiration, voicing, resonance, articulation and language and the nervous system through which language is conceived. Understanding on speech sound can be achieved through various and comprehensive approaches with several fields including understanding on functions of respiratory organs related to language, the mechanism of generation of voice and articulation, structure and function of the nervous system controlling linguistic ability and the study of physio-acoustics and hearing perception. Then, one can know that it should be made through interdisciplinary studies with other fields including speech pathology and other relevant fields such as linguistics, psychology, speech engineering and phoniatrics. Along with these, one can understand the needs of speech treatment and significance in various fields through interacting approaches with other relevant studies.
