本稿は、日本語を専攻とする韓国の大学生152名を対象に、人工知能技術に代表さ れる翻訳機とChatGPTの使用状況と認識を調査し、人工知能ベースの教育ツールの効 率的な設計のための資料を提供することを目的とする。 調査の結果、すべての回答者において翻訳機の使用経験があり、大多数がネイ バー․パパゴを主に使用していた。翻訳機の使用は主に日韓の言語ペアに集中してお り、学習ツールとして活用されていることが分かった。翻訳機に対する回答者の高い 活用度と依存度が示され、このような結果は、翻訳機関連の研究と教育設計の必要性 と緊急性を示唆している。 一方、ChatGPTの使用経験は高かったが、使用頻度は低く、ユーザー満足度も翻訳 機に比べ低かった。ChatGPTの主な使用目的は学習支援と情報検索であったが、使用 事例と利点が十分に知られていないため、定期的なユーザーが少ないことが分かっ た。これらの結果は、翻訳機とChatGPTの活用が日本語学習に与える影響を明らかに し、技術受容に関する認識を把握することで、教育技術開発や政策立案に重要な情報 を提供する。 本稿では、現時点で翻訳機とChatGPTが語学専攻者にどのように認識され、どのよ うに活用されているかについての現状分析を行い、体系的な教育プログラム開発の必 要性を論じる。
Abstract
This paper aims to provide data for efficient design of A.I-based educational tools by investigating the usage status and perceptions of translators and ChatGPT represented by A.I technologies among 152 Korean university students majoring in Japanese. The results showed that all respondents had experience using a translator, with the majority using NAVER Papago. The use of translators is mainly focused on Korean -Japanese language pairs and is being utilized as a learning tool. The respondents’ high utilization and reliance on translators suggest the need and urgency for translator-related research and instructional design. In contrast, ChatGPT was used more frequently but less frequently, and user satisfaction was lower than with translators. The main purposes of ChatGPT were academic support and information retrieval, but the use cases and benefits were not well understood, resulting in fewer regular users. These results shed light on the impact of using translators and ChatGPT on Japanese language learning and provide important information for educational technology development and policy formulation by identifying perceptions of technology acceptance. This paper suggests directions for how translators and ChatGPT have been used by language students and the need to develop systematic training programs.
