외국인을 위한 사잇소리 현상 발음교육 방안

본고에서는 외국인을 대상으로 하는 발음교육의 관점에서 음운현상 교육에 대한 이론적 고찰을 하고, 이를 바탕으로 사잇소리 현상 발음교육 방안을 제시했다. 발음교육의 관점에서 변동규칙의 ‘개념, 하위분류 기준’에 대해 재고찰하고, 발음교육을 어휘, 기능교육과 통합교육할 필요성과 방안, 형태초점 교수법을 발음교육에 적용할 필요성과 방법에 대해 논의했다. 이러한 이론적 고찰을 바탕으로 1) 사잇소리 현상 교육내용을 ‘뒷집, 콧날, 나뭇잎’류와 표기가 이원화되는 /ㅅ/ 전치명사류로 나누고, 2) /ㅅ/ 전치명사류의 경음화는 일반적 경음화 규칙보다 보편성, 단순성, 생산성이 낮고 이로 인해 오류 빈도도 높다는 점에서 교육순서를 정하고, 3) /ㅅ/ 전치명사의 음운현상에 대해 형태초점 교수법을 활용하여 명시적인 설명 제공, 구조화한 충분한 입력 제공, 입력 강화, 듣고 재구성하기, 상호작용 활동 등을 제시했다. 이 중 구조화한 충분한 입력 제공은 어휘교육과, 듣고 재구성하기는 기능교육과 긴밀히 통합한 것이다.
Abstract
In this paper, I set up a teaching method of the ‘Saitsori’ phenomena. In order to get this goal, I argue some theoretical consideration. I considered 3 points. 1) How to define the concept of the phonological rules and what kind of criteria should be applied to classify the phonological rules? 2) How can we integrated pronunciation education with other knowledge domain and functional domain? 3) Can the Focus on form instruction be applied to phonological phenomena education?In chapter 3, I present a definite teaching plan about the phenomena of ‘Saitsori’ for foreign adult learners. This is based on theoretical considerations which are discussed in chapter 2. It is divided into presentation·explanation, input-focus, output-focus stages.
