받아쓰기가 한국어 듣기 능력에 미치는 영향 -부분 받아쓰기와 전체 받아쓰기를 중심으로

본고에서는 받아쓰기 방법이 외국인 학습자의 한국어 듣기 능력향상에 효과가 있는지 알아보고자 하는 데에 목적이 있다. 또한, 부분 받아쓰기와 전체 받아쓰기 방법 가운데 어느 것이 학습자의 한국어 듣기 능력향상에 더 효과적인지를 알아보고자 한다. 이를 위하여 중국에서 한국어를 전공하고 있는 3학년 대학생 60명을 연구 대상으로 선정하였다. 이들을 실험에서 수업시간에 받아쓰기 연습을 하지 않고 듣기 연습만 받은 통제반 A집단, 문장의 괄호 안에 단어를 써넣는 부분 받아쓰기를 연습시킨 실험반 B집단, 그리고 최소 구 이상 문장까지를 듣고 전체 받아쓰기 연습을 시킨 실험반 C집단으로 나누었다. 이 세 집단에 따라 받아쓰기 연습이 한국어 듣기 능력과의 상관관계를 측정하여 듣기능력 신장에 미치는 효과를 연구하고자 한다. 이를 달성하기 위해 다음과 같이 가설을 설정하였다. 가설1: 받아쓰기를 한 집단이 받아쓰기하지 않은 집단보다 듣기능력 향상이 더 클 것이다. 가설2: 전체 받아쓰기 연습을 한 집단이 부분 받아쓰기를 한 집단보다 듣기능력 향상이 더 클 것이다. 가설3: 받아쓰기에 의한 듣기 능력 향상이 학습자 듣기 능숙도에 따라 효과가 다를 것이다. 실험 결과에서는 첫째, 받아쓰기 연습을 한 실험반(B,C집단)이 받아쓰기 연습을 하지 않은 통제반(A집단)보다 듣기능력이 향상되었다. 둘째, 구와 문장을 중심으로 연습한 C집단이 괄호 안에 단어를 써넣는 부분 받아쓰기를 한 B집단보다 듣기 능력이 더 크게 향상되었다. 셋째, 구 이상 문장까지 점진적인 전체 받아쓰기 연습은 상·중위 학습자보다 하위학습자의 듣기능력향상에 더 효과적이다.
Abstract
The main purpose of this study is to investigate the learning effects on listening comprehension by dictation practice. For this purpose, three hypotheses are set up under the assumption that there will be a difference in the result of listening comprehension through dictation practice. Hypothesis 1: Depending upon the dictation practise, there will be a difference in the improved scores of listening comprehension. Hypothesis 2: Depending upon the method of dictation practice, there will be a difference in improved scores of listening comprehension. Hypothesis 3: Depending upon the students’s listening comprehension ability level, there will be a difference in their improved listening comprehension test scores through dictation practice. The experiment has been conducted for two months over 60 Chinese students as subjects. The students are divided into three groups (two experimental and one controlled) During the period, two pre-and post-tests were administered to verify the hypothesis. The results are as follows:1) The two experimental groups (B and C groups) surpassed the controlled groups(A groups) in their listening comprehension test scores. 2) C groups which practiced phrase and sentence dictation surpassed the B groups which practiced word dictation in their listening comprehension test scores. 3) The upper and middle group students in C groups showed difference in their listening comprehension test scores with the lower group students.
