This research aimed to analyze methods and meanings of swearwords used as slang in contemporary Thai by collecting online data. From the results, there are 4 methods of swearword usage: using original form, using adapted form or sound, using reduplication form, using abbreviation form, and using spoonerism form. Meanings of swearwords used as slang are usually soften or reduced degree of rudeness because social etiquette is still an important thing for communication in Thai society. Using swearwords as slang also gives different sense and emotion from common slang expressions. Moreover, it shows that Thai society has obviously uplifted its bar for public conversation on sexual topics.
