조셉 브락켄의 사회적 삼위일체 모델 연구

초록

본 연구의 목적은 가톨릭 신학자로서 신화이트헤드적 관점에서 삼위일체론을 전개하는 조셉 브락켄의 사회적 삼위일체 모델의 주요 개념들을 고찰하고 그것의 현대적 의미를 발견하는 것이다. 브락켄은 사변적인 전통적 삼위일체론의 비실제성과 현대 라너의 삼위일체론의 비인격적 요소를 비판하고 그것을 넘어서고자 하였다. 또한 그는 하느님-세계 관계를 영혼-육신의 유비로 제안하는 하트숀의 의견에 반대하며 무한한 하느님을 유한한 세계와의 유비로 보는 것의 부적절성을 지적한다. 그는 상호주관성 개념을 도입하여 사회적 실재론을 전개하면서, 과정 사상의 사회 개념을 통하여 삼위일체를 하느님 세 위격들이 상호주관성을 갖는 하느님의 사회로 설명한다. 브락켄은 현실적 계기가 결합체와 사회로 점점 구조화되면서 그들의 통합을 달성하도록 하는 지배적인 소사회가 존재하는 ‘구조를 갖는 활동의 장’에 주목했다. 하느님의 신적 공동체는 ’세 위격의 구조를 갖는 활동의 장’으로서 세계가 경험할 수 있는 인격적 실체가 된다. 브락켄의 사회적 삼위일체 모델은 상호주관성을 갖는 공동체 시스템에 강조를 둔다는 측면에서 모든 피조물의 보편적 친교를 강조하는 현대 생태신학적 사유의 맥락적 의미를 갖는다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discover major concepts and meaning of Joseph Bracken’s social Trinity model which is based on the neo-whiteheadian process thought. He tried to overcome the impersonal factor of Rahner’s Trinity model as well as the speculative traditional definition of Trinity. He took note of intersubjectivity as a factor to constitute a social reality. He explained Trinity is a society of the Divine persons where the Three coexist in intersubjectivity. Focusing on the dominant sub-society which integrates various sub-societies and actual entities, he explained the social ontology where the society becomes a personal reality we experience. The ‘structured field of activity’ is his unique concept to explain a personal reality. Thus the Divine community becomes a personal reality as the structured field of activity of Three Divine persons. Bracken’s social Trinity has a contextual meaning for the ecotheological thinking, which focuses on the interconnectivity and community system.
