이 글의 주된 관심은 다원주의 세계에서 신의 바른 이해에 있다. 신에 대한 관심은 문명이 발전하면서 없어지는 것이 아니라 세계가 변하는 만큼 더 다양하게 그리고 더 복잡하게 이해되어 왔다. 그리고 그 신에 대한 이해는 인간의 수만큼 많은 신들을 만들어 냈다.“ 신이 하나다”(유일신론),“ 신이 많다”(다신론),“ 모든 것이 신이다”(범신론),“ 우리가 믿는 신은 유일하다”(단신론),“ 모든 만물에 신이 있다”(범재신론) 그리고“신은 세상을 창조했지만 다스리지는 않는다”(이신론). 이와는 달리 신을 부정하는 자들도 많다. 이들은“신은 죽었다”(사신론),“신을 반대한다”(반신론),“ 신은 없다”(무신론) 등을 말하고 있지만. 사실은 이들도 신에 대한 관심을 가지면서 말하고 있는 것이다. 다시 말하면 이 세상에 무신론자는 없다. 우리가 사는 다원화된 현대사회는“무엇이나 좋다”(Anything goes)는 이른바 다원성, 내지는 다원주의성향이 크게 부각되면서 대화(對話)의 성공을 위하여 자신의 정체성을쉽게 망각하게 한다. 이와는 달리 다원주의 분위기에 가담하는 것에 대해 염려한 나머지 비판을 가하며 더욱더 자신의 정체성 찾기 위해 타(他)와의 관계 속에서 더욱 배타(排他)적으로 처신하고 있다. 여기서 본 연구자는 삼위일체 신의 관점에서 사회적 상호 소통의길을 찾아보고자 하는 것이다. 삼위일체의 교리는 교회사적으로 정리되어왔다. 하지만 그것의 사회적 의미는 충분히 드러나지 못했다. 삼위일체 신의 이해는 그것이 기독교 진리의 핵심이지만, 너무 강하게 유일신적으로 되어있거나 혹은 이론적 근거로 멈추어 있다. 삼위일체 신은 삼위의‘관계’(relationship) 속에서 일치(unity)로서 이해되어야 한다. 그것은 삼위일체 신 안에서 인간과 자연은 물론, 너와 나의 관계를 의미한다.
Abstract
This paper concentrates on the Trinity God in the multi-cultural society. The interest in God has not disappeared because of the development of civilization, but has been getting stronger, more diverse, and more sophisticated. People have made many theories in relation with God. God is just One (monotheism); there are many gods (polytheism); everything is a god (pantheism); we believe in our tribal god (henotheism); in all things there are gods (panentheism);God made creation, but He doesn’t rule the world (deism). Differently from those god doctrines, there are the atheists who object to all gods. They say: God is dead(god-is-dead-ism); we object to god (antitheism); there is no god (atheism); God is material (materialism). In fact these people are also talking of what refers to God. In other words there are no atheists in the world. In the modern society people accept very easily pluralism which says “anything goes” for mutual understanding. So to them to keep their identity is not that important. In other words some people criticize such a pluralistic atmosphere trying to find their identity. But they are very exclusive in relation to others. I try to show a social mutual understanding from the perspective of the Trinity God. Although the doctrine of the Trinity has been put in order historically,but its social meaning has not been fully revealed. The understanding of Trinity God, although it is the core of the Christian truth, stops strongly with ‘monotheism’ or in the theoretical reference. The Trinity God is to be understood as a unity in the relationship of ‘three persons’. It means the relationship between you and me in the Trinity God, as well as the relationship between humans and nature.
