Multiculturalism and Afrocolombian Human Rights in Colombia

This article is object to analysis afrocolombian human rights under contradictory situations of civil war and consolidations of democracy in Colombia. Afrocolombian is recovering from resistance identity to autonomous identity by new multicultural constitutions and law of Black Communities. New constitutions is a great step forward to protect civil liberties of afrocolombian, and Law of Black Communities recognized the right of afrocolombians to collectively own and occupy their ancestral lands. These laws will not be enough to guard afrocolombian human rights because of national situations. Colombian government approved institutions and international laws in order to territorial rights, but administrational process to recognize black community is not function efficiently, qualitically and judicially. Also forced displacement and internal shelter by civil war has infringed on afrocolombian human rights such as destructions of social networks and cultural communities. Racial discriminations in colombia always finds out in health care system, educational chance, wage gap and recruit. Government have the courage of one's will that improve afrocolombian social conditions through multicultural constitutions and afrocolombian law but it is difficult that change ontological invisibility into ontological value and visibility.
