본 연구는 추상적인 개념 영역이 은유나 환유적 사상을 통해 좀 더 접근 가능한 물질이나 사회적 경험에 기반을 둔 영역으로 구조화되는 개념화 과정을 고찰하고자 한다. 특히, 본 연구는 스페인어에서 사랑이라는 감정의 언어화를 인간의 인지 구조와 관련하여(인지적 관점에서) 비유어의 인지 모델 분석을 통해 살펴보고자 한다. 사랑의 은유화는 단순한 문체적 형태가 아니라 인간의 신체적 경험과 정형화된 이미지에 기반을 두고 완성된다. 본 연구의 분석 결과는 스페인어에서 사랑은 위-아래, 좌-우와 같은 방향, 그릇이나 용기 등과 같은 존재론적 존재, 그리고 사고를 체계화하는 여러 구조로 사상된다는 것을 확인시켜준다.
Abstract
The present paper examines the conceptualization process that abstract conceptual domains are structured through metaphorical or metonymical mappings in terms of domains based on the more accessible materials or the social experiences. From the cognitive point of view, in particular, this study investigates the verbalizaton of the emotion of love by using the analysis of cognitive models of figurative language in Spanish language. The metaphorization of love is not just a mere stylistic form but is completed on the basis of somatic experience and stereotyped images of human beings. The results of analysis confirms that love is projected in directions such as up-down or left-right, in ontological entities such as bowl, container, etc., and in several structures that organize ideas in Spanish language.
