본고에서는 1927년에 집필된 에세이 「대중의 장식」에서의 크라카우어의 변증법적 분석에 대한 체계적인 재구성이 시도된다. 변증법의 전형적인 논리 전개 방식이라고 볼 수 있는 테제 - 안티테제 - 신테제의 패턴을 크라카우어는 범주 차원에서 잘 지켜 가고 있는 것으로 보이지만 그보다도 그 저변의 생철학적 세계관이 크라카우어의 논리 전개 방식을 오늘날의 수준으로 보더라도 상당히 독창적으로 만들어준다. 최종적 신테제로서의 진리를 분석해 낼 수 있다. 세 개의 테제인 인간, 이성, 현실이 크라카우어의 사고 구조로부터 논증적으로 도출 가능하며 유기체, 합리성, 형상이 안티테제로서 여기에 추가될 수 있다. 계속 분석을 해 보면 주제적 상징의 사물이라고 볼 수 있는 ‘대중의 장식’ 안에서 인간/유기체, 이성/합리성, 현실/형상이라는 테제/안티테제 쌍에 대해 이 둘을 매개시켜주는 부정적/긍정적 지평을 발견할 수 있다. 그것은 목적 없는 합목적성/정의, 상부 구조와 토대의 애매모호함/동화, 미학/역사이다.
Abstract
In this study a systematic reconstruction of the author, Kracauer's dialectical analysis for the essay “The Mass Ornament” from the year 1927 is carried out, whereby the thesis - antithesis - synthesis, which characterizes the typical logical course of dialectics, is followed categorically by Kracauer, but the underlying Lebensphilosophie makes the entire reasoning also for today significantly original. As a final synthesis, the idea of truth can be worked out, and the three theses of man, reason, reality can also be deduced from Kracauer's whole thought-building. In addition, there are the three ideas that turn out to be antithesis: organism, rationality, gestalt. In the thematic thing-symbol, the ornament of the mass, with a more extensive interpretation, there are to be found for three thesis-antithesis pairs of man / organism, reason / rationality, reality / gestalt negative or positive ideal horizons which play a mediating role here: purposeless self-purpose /justice, ambiguity of superstructure and substructur / fairytale, aesthetics / history.
