(Gyeongwije:Official Rank Held by Residents of the Capital)로서 干支(Ganji)-壹伐(Ilbeol)의 체계가 있었을 가능성을 제기하였다.
Abstract
The newly discovered Pohang Joongseong-Ri Silla monument (浦項中城里新羅碑) along with Yeongil Naengsoo-ri Silla monument (迎日冷水里新羅碑) and Uljin Bongpyeong Silla monument (蔚珍鳳坪新羅碑) is regarded as a very important historical material to understand the society of the Silla Kingdom in the 6th century. The newly discovered monument and Yeongil Naengsoo-Ri Silla monument (迎日冷水里新羅碑) contain several records which reflect a social aspect of the Silla Kingdom in King Jijeung’s era. There were two academic conferences which were held to elucidate the historical significance of the newly discovered monument. This study suggests historically relevant opinions about the paragraphic structure and the interpretation of an oral code of the inscription engraved on the monument. It also analyzes the names of government officials and ranks as well as names of people written in the inscription. From the information gathered in this study, it is possible to regard the Ganji Ilgeumji (干支 壹金知) system as the prototype of the official ranking system of the provincial government, and to raise the possibility of the existence of the Ganji Ilbeol (干支 壹伐) system as the official ranking system of the central government. And the fact that Takbu and Tak are used as a name of the affiliated district of the described person in the inscription suggests that the official ranking system was not completed by the time the monument was made.
