초록
This paper focuses on the phenomenon that appears with ‘Hen’ when Chinese adjectives function as predicates and examines the causes of these features in Chinese, as opposed to other languages, from a contrastive linguistic point of view. Adjective predicate sentence is divided into positive predication and comparative/contrastive predication. In Chinese, if the positive predication with no degree of intensification is ‘NA’, it can be understood as a comparative /contrastive meaning because it has morphological identity with comparative /contrastive predication ‘NA’. Therefore, it is considered that the ‘Hen’, which is especially frequently used among degree adverbs, is added to indicate that the description is a non-comparative/contrastive predication in the form of ‘N Hen A’. That is, ‘Hen’, which appears in positive predication with no sense of degree enhancement, functions as a ‘non-contrast mark’. Thus, it was found that whether or not adjective predicate sentence has a contrasting meaning is implemented by mark after subject in Korean, and it is implemented in adjective in Chinese. We also note that the appearance of ‘Hen’ in the adjective predicate sentence is related to the realization of the attribute concept represented by the adjective in the actual language, specifically related to the non-constancy of attributes, implementation of degree, non-contrast mark.
