연구문제 또는 목적: 본 연구는 청년 장애인의 경제활동상태가 장애수용에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 이 과정에서 대인관계능력의 매개효과를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법: 장애인고용패널조사(PSED) 2차 웨이브 8차 조사 데이터를 활용하고 만 19~39세 청년 장애인 734명을 대상으로 SPSS 25.0 program을 사용하여 다중회귀분석과 Process Macro를 이용한 매개효과 분석을 수행하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 청년 장애인의 경제활동상태가 장애수용에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 경제활동상태의 청년 장애인이 비경제활동상태의 청년 장애인보다 장애수용 수준이 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 청년 장애인의 경제활동상태가 대인관계에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 비경제활동상태보다 경제활동상태일 때 대인관계능력이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 청년 장애인의 경제활동상태와 장애수용의 관계에서 대인관계능력의 부분 매개효과가 확인되었다. 결론 또는 시사점: 청년기 경제활동은 단순한 소득 활동을 넘어 심리사회적 적응에 기여하며, 특히 대인관계능력은 장애수용과 사회통합을 매개하는 핵심 요인임이 확인되었다. 이에 따라 고용정책은 취업 장려를 넘어 대인관계능력 향상 및 장애수용을 포괄하는 방향으로 확대될 필요가 있다. 이를 위해 사회적 기술훈련, 직무 연계 멘토링 등 실천적 개입 방안 마련이 요구되며, 그 효과성을 높이기 위해 정책과 서비스 간 연계와 통합적 접근이 함께 이루어져야 함을 시사한다.
Abstract
Purpose 또는 Objectives: This study aims to analyze the impact of economic activity status on disability acceptance among young adults with disabilities and to examine the mediating effect of interpersonal competence in this relationship. By focusing on psychosocial adaptation, the study explores whether economic participation contributes not only to material outcomes but also to self-acceptance and social integration. Results: First, the economic activity status of young adults with disabilities was found to have a positive effect on disability acceptance. Those who were economically active demonstrated higher levels of disability acceptance than those who were not. Second, economic activity status also positively influenced interpersonal competence, with economically active individuals showing greater competence in interpersonal relationships. Third, a partial mediating effect of interpersonal competence was confirmed in the relationship between economic activity and disability acceptance, indicating that interpersonal competence plays a key intermediary role. Conclusion 또는 Implications: Economic activity in young adulthood contributes not only to income generation but also to psychological and social adjustment. Interpersonal competence emerged as a crucial mediator that fosters disability acceptance and social inclusion. Therefore, employment policies should be expanded beyond job placement to include practical interventions such as social skills training, job-linked mentoring, and online self-expression feedback systems. To enhance effectiveness, these strategies must be supported by integrated service delivery and inter-policy collaboration tailored to the type and severity of disability.
