Abstract
As for the introduction of new practices by organizations, the existinginstitutional theory has focused on external demands(pressure) and neglectedthe organizational process within the organization. This study focuses on socialequity among three pillars of sustainability, and aimed to examine the effectsof internal institutionalization of sustainability on sustainable human resourcemanagement(HRM) and corporate social responsibility activities. The populationsused in this study were 60 Korean prominent companies. The findings showedthat internal institutionalization of sustainability positively related tosustainable human resource management and social responsibility activities. Thefindings further demonstrated that government regulation on sustainabilitymanagement moderated the relationship between internal institutionalization ofsustainability and sustainable human resource management such that itstrengthened the relationship. At the end of this study, the implications ofthese results and the research significance are discussed.
