Abstract
This paper aims to define a post-text newly emerging from the development of artificial intelligence technology. Post-text refers to the text produced by computations based on a high-level algorithm. The computational turn here is characterized by the data-driven, and high-level algorithm utilization. The post- text is distinguished from the conventional ordinary text as well as the cybertext in that the identity of the unit text is not maintained. Furthermore, this paper discusses the characteristics of post-text in terms of text identity, text interaction, speculativeness, and political economy. It presents typical cases of post-text across four genres of media content, such as stories, images, videos, and news. Finally, the implications of the emergence of post-text are briefly discussed.
