Abstract

This article examines the nature of the early political system of the Jeollabuk-do region and the correlation with Gojoseon Kingdom through the change of the tomb systems. Therefore, in the text, the discussion was conducted with the following two main points. First, in the recent research trend, the time and spatial background of Gojoseon history and its meaning were reconsidered, and the development of Gojoseon history was reviewed by phase. Second, in conjunction with the formation process of the cultural identity of Gojoseon as a center of the culture reviewed above, the problem of correlation with the Jeollabuk-do region of that time was also reviewed as a surrounding culture. In conclusion, considering the change of the tomb and the coexistence of burial relics, it was found that the southwestern region of Songguk-ri culture also established a social network similar to the regions ranged from Liaodong to West North Korea, and the early politics of Jeollabuk-do need to be understood in terms of the expandability of the Gojoseon network which had been developed via Songguk-ri culture.
