욕구만족도, 자기결정동기가 청소년 봉사활동에 미치는 영향

고등학생들의 자원 봉사활동은 자원봉사의 개념보다는 봉사학습의 개념으로 교육의 연장선상에서 이루어지는 경험학습의 일종이다. 최근의 학습동기 이론인 Deci와 Ryan(2000)의 자기결정동기와 사회 환경적 요인으로, 아버지, 어머니, 교사, 친구들과의 관계에서 발생된 욕구 만족도와 봉사학습과의 관계를 고등학교 3학년 294명을 대상으로 상관관계, 회귀분석, 구조방정식 모형을 통해 살펴보았다. 교사>친구>어머니>아버지 의 순으로 욕구만족도와 봉사활동은 정적 상관을 보이며, 자기결정동기와 봉사활동도 정적상관을 보였다. 봉사활동의 이기적 동기는 전반적인 욕구만족도와 부적 상관을 보였으나, 외재동기와 봉사활동의 이기적 동기의 상관은 정적으로 나타났다. 욕구만족도와 자기결정동기, 봉사활동의 구조방정식모형 검증을 통해 부분매개모형이 선정되었으며, NFI 0.981, TLI 0.980, CFI 0.987, RMSEA 0.090의 적합도를 나타내었다. 본 연구에서는 봉사활동을 봉사학습의 관점에서 접근하기 위하여 최근의 학습동기이론인 자기결정동기와 환경변인으로서의 욕구만족도와의 관계를 살펴보았다. 봉사학습이 학습과정으로 정착되기 위해서는 좀 더 많은 후속연구가 이루어 져야 한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between Self-Determination motivation theory and Basic needs satisfaction in volunteer service activities. Korean volunteer service activities in relation to teenagers have to involve service-learning. The participants of this study consisted of 294, 3rd grade high school students. A Basic Needs Satisfaction Scales for the Father, Mother, Teachers, and Peers, was developed and had a positive correlation with volunteer service activites. Basic Needs Satisfaction had a negative correlation in terms of egoistic motivation in volunteer activities. Self-Determination motivation theory had a positive correlation with volunteer service activites. Finally, a structural equation model was constructed using Amos to examine the relationships between basic needs satisfaction and self-determination with volunteer service activities. A Structural Equation Modeling was employed to investigate the Partial Mediation Model.
