본 연구에서는 초등학교 교사의 AI·디지털 역량에 대한 요구를 분석하며 우선순위를 도출하여 실제 현장에서 교사 연수 및 정책 방향 수립을 위한 기초자료를 마련하는 데 목적이 있다. 서울과 경기도 지역에서 근무하는 초등학교 교사 114명을 대상으로 AI와 디지털 역량의 중요도와 현재 수준에 대한 설문조사를 진행하고 대응표본 t검정, Borich 요구도 분석, Locus for Focus 모델을 통합적으로 적용하여 요구 우선순위를 도출하였다. 분석 결과 교과 적합 기술 탐색과 선정, 개인정보 보호, 학습 과정 모니터링, 맞춤형 피드백, 학습 동기 유발 등 9개 최우선군 역량이 도출되었고 이는 초등학생의 발달단계를 반영한 맞춤형 수업 설계와 운영 및 평가 능력의 중요성을 시사하는 동시에 초등교육에 AI 디지털 기술을 활용하는 과정에서 아동의 개인정보를 안전하게 관리하는 역량이 중요함을 보여주었다. 또한 차우선군 역량은 AI·디지털 기술의 개념과 원리를 초등학생 수준에 맞는 구체적 사례와 체험적 활동으로 재구성하는 역량과 초등학생이 교사 및 또래와의 상호작용 속에서 정서발달이 이루어지는 단계임을 고려한 정서적 지원, 수업 효과 분석 역량 등이 도출되었다. 연구 결과는 초등교육에 적용하는 것에 관한 논의와 교사 연수 및 정책적 지원 체계 마련의 중요성을 제시하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze and prioritize the AI·digital competencies required of elementary school teachers, thereby providing foundational data for teacher training and policy development in practice. A survey was conducted with 114 elementary school teachers working in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province to assess the perceived importance and current levels of AI·digital competencies. Using paired-sample t-tests, Borich needs analysis, and the Locus for Focus model, priority competencies were identified. The analysis revealed nine top-priority competencies, including identifying and selecting subject-appropriate technologies, protecting personal information, monitoring learning processes, providing tailored feedback, and fostering learning motivation. These competencies highlight the importance of designing, implementing, and evaluating customized instruction that reflects elementary students’developmental stages, while also underscoring the necessity of safeguarding children’s personal data in the application of AI·digital technologies to elementary education. In addition, secondary-priority competencies were identified, such as reconstructing AI·digital concepts into examples and activities suitable for elementary learners. The study highlights the implications of these findings for elementary education and the need for teacher training and policy support.
