청소년기 이성교제 경험의 영향에 대한 대학생의 주관적 인식

본 연구의 목적은 청소년기 이성교제의 경험이 개인의 발달에 미치는 영향을 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해, 청소년기에 이성교제 경험이 있는 초기 성인기의 성인 남･여를 대상으로 청소년기 이성교제 경험이 미친 영향에 대해 회고적으로 응답하도록 고안된 설문을 온라인을 통해 실시하였고, 수집된 110명의 응답 자료를 수정된 합의적 질적 연구 방법(CQR-M)을 통해 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 청소년기 이성교제의 긍정적인 영향으로 다섯 개의 영역, 16개의 범주가 도출되었다. 한편, 청소년기 이성교제의 부정적인 영향으로는 다섯 개의 영역, 13개의 범주가 도출되었다. 청소년기 이성교제의 긍정적인 결과로 도출된 다섯 개의 영역은 ‘자기 이해 향상’, ‘대인 관계 역량 향상’, ‘사랑과 연애에 대한 적응성 향상’, ‘의사소통 기술 역량 증진’, ‘심리적 안녕감 향상’이었으며, 청소년기 이성교제의 부정적인 영향으로는 도출된 다섯 개의 영역은 ‘자기 감정적 소진’, ‘대인 관계 갈등’, ‘연애에 대한 부적응적 태도’, ‘자기계발 요인’, ‘무변화’(부정적인 변화 없음의 내용)으로 확인되었다. 도출된 결론을 토대로 청소년 이성교제의 의미에 대한 탐색의 의의와 교육･상담적 개입 및 교육 프로그램의 필요성에 대하여 논하였으며, 시사점, 한계점 및 후속 연구의 필요성에 대해 제언하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of the present study was to explore the positive and negative effects of dating in adolescence. To this end, this study collected data via an online survey from adult men and women in early adulthood (ages ranging from 19 to 28), who reported having had dating experiences during their adolescence. The responses, gathered from a total of 110 participants, were analyzed using the Modified Consensual Qualitative Research Method. As a result, five categories and seven domains emerged concerning the positive influences of dating in adolescence. These five categories included the following; ‘improvement of self-understanding,’ ‘interpersonal factors’, ‘factors related to love and romance,’ ‘improvement of communication skills,’ and ‘improvement in subjective well-being.’ In terms of the negative influences of commitment on dating relationships in adolescence, five categories and 13 domains were identified. These five categories included the following; ‘emotional exhaustion,’ ‘interpersonal factors,’ ‘romance factor,’ ‘lack of self-development,’ and ‘no negative changes.’ Concerning the overall response frequency, a higher frequency was noted for the positive effect of romantic relationships in adolescence than the negative effect. Based on these conclusions, there is a clear need for educational and counseling interventions for adolescent romantic relationships. Finally, the implications, limitations, and possible directions for future research were also discussed.
