본 연구는 그룹홈 지적장애인의 자립생활을 지원하기 위해 지적장애인의 자립생할에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 지적장애인의 자립생활 수준을 파악하고 그들의 자립생활 수준을 향상시킬 수 있는 사회복지적 개입 방안을 제시하는데 있다. 본 목적을 달성하기 위해, 지적장애인의 자립생활 영향요인을 개인적 요인, 가족적 요인, 사회적 요인으로 구분하였고, 개인적 요인에는 '자립생활 기술', 가족적 요인에는 '가족의 지지', 사회적 요인에는 '지역사회환경‘을 포함시켰다. 자립생활 수준은 신체적 자립, 정신적 자립, 경제적 자립, 사회적 자립으로 측정하였다. 조사대상자는 경상남·북도와 대구·울산·부산광역시의 그룹홈에 거주하는 지적장애인 90명이며, 지적장애인이 직접 설문에 응답하였고, 방문조사 방법을 사용하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 지적장애인의 자립생활 수준은 경제적 자립, 사회적 자립, 정신적 자립, 신체적 자립생활 순으로 나타났으며, 신체적 자립은 자립생활기술, 정신적 자립은 자립생활기술과 가족의지지, 경제적 자립은 성별, 학력, 방개수, 거주기간, 자립생활기술, 사회적 자립에는 학력과 자립생활 기술이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 장애등급, 교육수준, 경제수준이 신체적 자립, 정신적 자립, 경제적 자립, 사회적 자립에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 통해 지적장애인의 자립생활 영향요인을 통한 사회복지적 개입방안은 첫째, 사회적 상황, 다양한 환경에서 자립생활 방법 및 전략을 개발하고 간접적으로 지원해 줄 때 자립생활이 촉진될 것이다. 둘째, 다양한 프로그램과 서비스를 제공할수록 자립생활을 촉진할 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
This study analyses the factors that influence the independent living of people with intellectual disabilities to support independence of group home for people with intellectual disabilities. The purpose of this research is to figure out the level of independence of people with intellectual disabilities and to suggest the involving plans from social welfare that could improve their level of independent living. To accomplish this purpose, the factors that influence the independent living of people with intellectual disabilities were classified with three factors; personal, familial, and social. Personal factor includes the skills for independent living. Familial factor includes support from family members, and social factor includes community environment. Also the level of independent living of group home people with intellectual disabilities was measured by physical independence, mental independence, financial independence, and social independence. The subjects for this research are 90 people with intellectual disabilities who live in group home located in southern and northern Kyungsang-Do and Daegu-Si, Ulsan-Si, and Busan-Si. They respond the survey themselves, and visiting survey is used for this research. The primary result of this research is following. When the independent living level of people with intellectual disabilities is put orderly, that order would be financial, social, metal, and physical independence. The skill of independent living influences physical independence of people with intellectual disabilities, and independent living skill and family support influences metal independence. Also gender, educational level, the number of rooms, the length of residence, independent living skill have an effect on financial independence, and disability grade, educational level, financial level affect physical, mental, financial, and social independence. Plans involved with social welfare resulted from this research that could improve the independent living level of people with intellectual disabilities are followings. First, the independent living of people with intellectual disabilities would be progressed more when the ways and strategies are developed and applied in the various social situations. And second, the more programs and services are provided, the more the independent living is promoted.
