Isolated hypoesthesia in partial area of ipsilateral face is a rare manifestation of medullary infarct. We experi-enced a case presenting with hypoesthesia in the left side of ophthalmic, maxillary division, and lingual branch ofmandibular division. Brain MRI showed a focal infarct in the dorsolateral left medulla. One day later, out patientdeveloped numbness in mandibular division of the face and a falling tendency to the left side. Follow-up MRI didnot reveal a significant change of the lesion. A small lesion involving the descending trigeminal tract in dorsolat-eral medulla could explain divisional pattern of trigeminal sensory dysfunction in our case. 대한뇌졸중학회지제6권제1호2004년5월
