초록

During early development of the embryo, several transient anastomotic channels are developed from the carotid system to supply vertebrobasilar system. Persistence of these vessels is noted rarely after birth. Among them, proatlantal intersegmental artery I&Ⅱ, which arese from the external or internal carotid artery, is rare. So we report a case of proatlantal intersegmental artery type Ⅱ presenting nonspecific headache and dizziness which was not associated with primitive vascular channel.
