정신장애인 취업과 구직활동에 미치는 요인에 관한 연구

초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 정신장애인의 취업과 구직활동에 긍정적인 영향을 줄 수 있는 요인들이 무엇인지 취업자, 취업시도자, 미취업자로 구분하여 다차원적으로 분석한 후, 정신장애인의 취업 활성화를 위한 정책적이고 실천적인 함의를 도출하는 것이다. 연구방법: 2017년 보건복지부 연구,‘지역사회 정신장애인 현황조사’ 2차 자료를 활용하였으며, 조사에 참여한 정신장애인은 지역사회 내 정신건강 복지센터, 정신재활시설, 사회서비스바우처 이용자 총 1,000명이다. 연구대상자의 인구사회학적 특성에 대한 기초분석, 인구사회적 요인에 따른 정신장애인 구직활동 여부에 대한 빈도분석을 실시하였다. 독립변수인 개인심리적요인과 사회적 요인에 대한 기술통계를 실시하였으며, 정신장애인의 취업과 구직활동에 대한 결정요인을 분석하고 군집간 특성을 비교하기 위해 다항로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과: 분석 결과 사회적 요인에서는 장애등록집단, 수급상태에 속한 집단, 대도시에 거주할수록, 정신재활시설을 이용할수록 취업 및 구직활동을 할 가능성이 높아졌으며, 개인심리적 요인에서는 정신건강자신감이 높을수록, 인구사회학적 요인에서는 연령이 낮을수록, 교육 수준이 높을수록, 주관적 경제상태가 하층에 속할수록 취업 및 구직활동 시도 가능성이 높다고 나타났다. 결론 : 결론적으로 정신장애인의 취업과 구직활동 증진에 있어 장애등록제도를 적절하게 활동하고 보완할 필요성이 제기되며, 정신재활시설과 같은 지역사회복지기관의 확대를 제안한다.

Abstract

Purposes: This study is to derive policy and practical implications for promoting employment of people with mental disabilty after analyzing what factors can positively afect their employment and job search activities in a multidimensional manner clasifying the people with mental disabilty as the employed, the unemployed, and job-seker. Method: This study used the 2nd data of a research of Ministry of Health and Welfare in 2017, the "Curent Status of Mental Disabilties in the Community" in which 1,00 people with mental disabilty using mental health welfare center, mental health rehabiltation facilty, and social service voucher participated. This study conducted a basic analysis of the demographic characteristics of 1,00 people with mental disabilty and a frequency analysis of job-seeking activities. It conducted descriptive statistics on individual psychological and social factors that are independent variables, and conducted multinomial logistic regresion to analyze determining factors for employment and job-seking activities to compare characteristics among groups. Results: As a result of the analysis, in terms of social factors, the more people lived in a large city and used mental health rehabiltation facilty, the more likely they were to be employed and seek their job. As for the psychological factors, the higher the mental health confidence, the more likely they were to be employed and find their job. As for the demographic factors, the lower the age; the higher the level of education; and the lower the subjective economic status, the more likely they were to be employed and find their job. Conclusions: It is necesary to properly operate and supplement the disabilty registration system in promoting employment and job-seeking activities for the people with mental disability. This study proposes the expansion of local social welfare organizations such as mental health rehabiltation facilties.
