일상재구성법을 통해 살펴본 한국 장애인과 비장애인의 행복

초록

연구목적: 본 연구의 목표는 장애인이 느끼는 일상 속 행복을 비장애인과의 비교를 통해 살펴보는 것이었다. 연구방법: 『2022 한국인의 행복조사』 데이터를 활용하여 장애인과 비장애인의 중요한 활동, 활동을 함께한 사람 그리고 행복감의 관계를 분석하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 장애인이 비장애인에 비하여 일상을 보고했던 날 느낀 행복감과 전반적인 행복감 모두 낮게 보고하였다. 둘째, 직업 관련 일이 일과 중 가장 중요한 활동이었다고 응답한 장애인 참가자가 그렇지 않은 장애인 참가자보다 더 높은 수준의 행복감을 보고하였고, 이는 직업 관련 일을 했던 비장애인 참가자와 유사한 정도였다. 셋째, 장애인 참가자의 경우직업 관련 일이 가장 중요한 활동이었는지 여부가 일상적인 행복감을 거쳐 전반적인 행복 수준에까지 영향을 미쳤으나, 비장애인 참가자의 경우는 그렇지 않았다. 결론: 본 연구는 비장애인과 달리 장애인에게는 직업이 일상 속 행복과 개인의 삶 전반적인 행복 모두에 특히 주요한 영향을 미친다는 것을 발견하였다.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the everyday happiness of people with disabilities and people without disabilities. Method: We analyzed the relationship between important activities, the people with whom activities are performed, and happiness among people with disabilities and people without disabilities using data from the 2022 Korean Happiness Survey. Results: First, compared to people without disabilities, people with disabilities reported lower levels of both happiness on the day they reported their daily routine and overall happiness. Second, individuals with disabilities who responded that job-related work was the most important activity reported higher levels of happiness than those who did not, similar to those without disabilities who reported job-related work. Third, for participants with disabilities, whether job-related work was the most important thing influenced their daily well-being and then subsequently their overall level of happiness, but not for participants without disabilities. Conclusions: This study reveals that, unlike people without disabilities, people with disabilities reported that their job was the most important aspect of happiness.
