필자는 본 소논문에서 전도서에서 나타나는 하나님 경외의 의미에 대해서 생각해 볼 것이다. 전도서는 일반적으로 현실적이며 회의적인 내용을 담고 있는 책으로 이해된다. 그런데, 왜 전도서에서는 하나님을 경외할 것을 가르치고 있는가? 그리고 이러한 전도서의 하나님 경외의 의미는 무엇인가? 이러한 질문에 대한 답이 본 소논문이 추구하려는 것이다. 이를 위해서 먼저 전도서와는 다른 특징을 분명히 드러내는 잠언 10-29장에 나타난 여호와 경외의 의미를 살펴볼 것이다. 그 후에 본 소논문의 목적인 전도서에서의 하나님 경외의 의미를 다룰 것이다. 무엇보다 전도서의 하나님 경외는 잠언 10-29장과는 다르게 종교적 특징을 강하게 갖고 있다는 것이다. 코헬렛(Kohelet)의 관찰의 결과는 현세는 불의하다는 것이고 질서가 없다는 것이었으나, 그는 그의 하나님 경외의 가르침에서 죽음 이후의 것을 생각하고 이것을 나타내고 있다. 코헬렛은 현세의 불의함, 이 세상에 만연해 있는 불의함을 경험하였지만, 그 가운데에서 그의 의로움에 대한 희망은 그의 하나님 경외에 대한 가르침, 권면과 함께 표현되었다. 코헬렛은 하나님에 대한 절대적인 경외, 어떠한 보상 때문이 아니라 하나님만이 유일한 희망이며 그분을 의지할 수 밖에 없는 인간에 대한 존재론적인 코헬렛의 숙고가 하나님 경외라는 가르침으로 나타나는 것이다.
Abstract
In this treatise, I'll think about the meaning of the Fear of God in Ecclesiastes. Usually Ecclesiastes is known as factual and doubtable book. But, why does Ecclesiastes tell us about respect about God? What is the meaning of the Fear of God in Ecclesiastes? The answer of this question will be found in this treatise. For this, I'll tell you the meaning of the Fear of God in Proverbs chapter 10-29 that has different features with Ecclesiastes. After that, I'll tell you about the Fear of God in Ecclesiastes that is the topic of the treatise. Above all, Ecclesiastes's the Fear of God has religious feature, different with Proverbs chapter 10-29. Result of Kohelet's discoverment is that the present time has immorality and chaos. But in the teaching of the Fear of God, he thinks after death. Kohelet has experienced the immorality that has full of the world. The hope of righteousness has express with teaching and encouragement. Kohelet said God is the only hope, not because of the respect or reward and human being's dependance on God which appears in the consideration of Kohelet expresses as the teaching of the Fear of God.
