본 논문은 전도서에 나타난 신정적 위기와 그것의 극복을 주제로 하고 있다. 전도서의 화자, 코헬렛은 그 시대에 경험되는 현실과 신앙 때문에 갈등과 고민을 거듭하면서 전통적으로 받아들인 인과응보적 원리를 포기하는 듯 보인다. 그는 현실에서 경험했던 보상 원리가 파괴된 현장들 즉 1) 정의와 지혜의 무(無)보상; 2) 수고의 무(無)대가; 3) 무차별적인 죽음; 4) 불의한 정치와 사회를 보고하고 있다. 하지만 그는 여기에 머물지 않고 하나님을 주어로 한 동사 특히 השׂע와 ןתנ과 טפשׁ를 통해 하나님께서 하시는 일과 하나님께서 인간에게 주신 것과 그의 심판을 관찰하면서 그 시대의 신정적 위기를 극복하고 있다. 본 논문은 세 개의 동사들을 통한 하나님 이해를 살펴봄으로써 전도서에 나타난 신정론의 위기와 대안을 찾으려고 한다.
Abstract
This article deals with theodic crisis and its overcoming in Ecclesiastes. Qohelet, the speaker of Ecclesiastes, was struggling with the deep discrepancy between Jewish traditional faith and reality which he faced at his time. He seems to ignore or give up the principle of cause-result relation. He presents the settings of the principle collapsed as follows: 1) no reward of righteousness and wisdom; 2) no reward of hard work and effort; 3) death without distinction; 4) unjust politics and society. However, he understands about God by studying three verbs of השׂע, ןתנ and טפשׁ using God as their subject. Throughout three verbs he discovers what God did, what He gave to human beings and that He judges. He finally overcomes theodic crisis throughout them and discovers its alternatives. This article aims to deal with it.
