초록

παράκλητος는 요한 문헌에서만 등장하는 독특한 용어이다. 요한복음 14장 26절에서 παράκλητος가 그들에게 모든 것들을 가르치고 예수께서 말한 모든 것들을 생각나게 한다. 여기서 παράκλητος의 사역을 동사 중심으로 살펴보면, ‘가르치다’(διδάσκein)로 볼 수 있다. παράκλητος가 그리스도인들에게 가르치는 것은 그리스도인들이 παράκλητος를 받아야 비로소 가르침을 받을 수 있다(요 14:17). 그리고 그리스도인은 세상과는 구별되며 대립되는 대상이다. παράκλητος가 가르친 결과는 예수께서 말씀하신 모든 것을 생각나게 하여 예수의 계명을 지키게 하고 평안을 얻게 한다(요 14:27). 요한복음 14장 26절에서 가르치는 사역과 관련된 신약성경 구절들(눅 12:12, 고전 2:13, 요일 2:27)을 본문 상호간의 비교 연구하였으며 Michael B. Thompson의 본문 상호적 해석의 기준을 근거로 5가지 항목으로 채택 및 수정하여 비교하였다. 요한복음 14장 26절에서 παράκλητος의 가르치는 사역이 누가, 바울, 요한에 의해서도 서술되므로 παράκλητος는 요한만의 창작물이 아니고 신약성경의 전반적인 이해로부터 판단되어야 한다. ‘가르치다’(διδάσκein)는 동사로 παράκλητος의 사역을 집중 조명하였으며 결국 신약성경의 성령과 연속성이 있음을 발견하였다. 성령이 그리스도인들에게 가르친 결과 성령이 마땅히 할 말을 하게 하며(눅 12:12), 영적인 것들을 분별하게 하며(고전 2:13), 예수의 재림 때까지 담대함으로 예수 앞에서 부끄럽지 않게 한다(요일 2:28). 요한복음의 παράκλητος은 아버지께서 예수의 이름으로 παράκλητος를 그리스도인들에게 보내므로 삼위일체 하나님의 관계성에서 이해되어야 함을 알 수 있다. παράκλητος의 가르치는 사역에 있어 이 세상에 살아가는 오직 그리스도인들에게만 주어지는 특권으로 성령의 가르침으로 예수의 재림 때까지 담대함을 가지고 부끄럽지 않게 살고 의를 행하라(요일 2:27-29)는 삶의 자세를 가르쳐주므로 παράκλητος와 동행하여 살아갈 힘을 준다.

Abstract

παράκλητος is a unique term that occurs only in the Johannine literature. In John 14:26, παράκλητος teaches them all things and reminds them of all the things Jesus said. In this ministry of παράκλητος it is essential to focus on verb "to teach"(διδάσκein). παράκλητος teaches Christians, and Christians can only be taught by receiving παράκλητος (John 14:17). And Christians are distinct from and opposed to the world. The result of being taught by παράκλητος is a reminder of all that Jesus said, which leads to keeping his commandments and peace (John 14:27). The New Testament passages related to the teaching ministry in John 14:26 (Luke 12:12, 1 Corinthians 2:13, 1 John 2:27) were studied intertextually and compared using Michael B. Thompson's criteria for intertextual interpretation, which were adopted and modified into five categories. The teaching ministry of παράκλητος in John 14:26 is also described by Luke, Paul, and John, so παράκλητος is not the creation of John alone, but must be judged from the overall understanding of the New Testament. The verb "to teach" (διδάσκein) highlights the ministry of παράκλητος and ultimately finds continuity with the Holy Spirit in the New Testament. The result of the Holy Spirit's teaching to Christians is that the Spirit teaches them to speak the things that they ought to say (Luke 12:12), to discern spiritual things (1 Corinthians 2:13), and to have boldness before Jesus until his coming so that they will not be ashamed (1 John 2:28). παράκλητος in the Gospel of John is understood in the relationships of the Trinity, as the Father sends παράκλητος to Christians in the name of Jesus. In the teaching ministry of παράκλητος, a privilege given only to Christians living in this world, the Holy Spirit teaches us the attitude of living confidently and unashamedly and practicing righteousness until Jesus' coming (1 John 2:27-29), thus empowering us to live with παράκλητος.
