요한복음 15장 26-27절에서 παράκλητος와 신약성경에서 πνεῦμα의 증언하는 사역에 대한 비교 연구

초록

요한복음에서 παράκλητος가 나오는 본문에서 기술된 동사들과 인접 문맥에 주목함으로써 πα-ράκλητος의 사역을 고찰하고자 하였다. 요한복음에서 παράκλητος와 관련된 동사들은 그리스도인들과 함께 ‘있다’(ei=nai 14:16-17, μένein 14:17), ‘가르치다’(διδάσκein 14:26) ‘증언하다’(μαρτυρei/n 15:26-27) ‘책망하다’(ἐλέγχein 16:7-11) ‘인도하다’(ὁδηγei/n 16:13) ‘알리다’(ἀναγγέλλein 16:13-15)이다. 본 논문에서는 παράκλητος가 ‘증언하다’(μαρτυρei/n 15:26-27)라는 표현이 나타난 본문에 중점을 두고 연구하였다. 요한복음 이외의 신약성경에서 πνεῦμα로 표현된 성령이 ‘증언하다’(μαρτυρei/n)라고 서술된 본문들(롬 8:16, 히 10:15, 요일 5:6)과 비교 연구하였다. 성령이 우리의 영과 함께 우리가 하나님의 자녀들인 것을 증언한다(συμμαρτυρei/n 롬 8:16). 성령이 우리에게 구약을 인용하여 증언한다(μαρτυρei/n 히 10:15). 성령은 진리이며 증언하는 분이다(μαρτυρei/n 요일 5:6). 성령이 증인(μάρτυς)이라고 서술하는 사도행전 5장 32절도 성령의 증언하는 사역을 보여준다. 이러한 비교 연구를 위하여 Michael B. Thompson 의 본문 상호적 해석 방법을 선택하고 본 연구의 목적에 부합하도록 수정하여 성경 본문들 사이에 서로 어떤 관련이 있는지 파악하였다. 요한복음 15장 26절에서 παράκλητος는 아버지와 예수로부터 기원하고 그는 예수에 대해 증언하므로 삼위일체 하나님과 관계성이 강조된다. 요한복음 15장 26-27절과 관련 신약성경 본문들과의 비교 연구를 통하여 진리의 영인 παράκλητος가 증언하는 사역은 성령(πνεῦμα)이 증언하는 사역과의 연속성을 지니며 이로써 παράκλητος는 성령임을 밝힌다. παράκλητος가 증언하는 데 있어 전후 문맥에서는 세상의 미움과 박해가 동반하여 나타나며 예수에 의하여 궁극적인 승리로 이끈다(요 16:33, 요일 5:4). 따라서 요한복음에서 삼위일체 하나님 관계성 속에서 παράκλητος는 예수를 증언하는 사역이 나타나며 고난과 박해가 함께 등장하나 궁극적으로 승리가 있음을 확증할 수 있다.

Abstract

In order to understand the ministry of παράκλητος in the Gospel of John, it is necessary to pay attention to the verbs and adjacent contexts described in the text where παράκλητος appears in the Gospel of John. The verbs associated with παράκλητος are 'be' (ei=nai 14:16-17, μένein 14:17), 'teach' (διδάσκein 14:26) 'testify' (μαρτυρei/n 15:26-27) 'reprove' (ἐλέγχein 16:7-11) 'guide' (ὁδηγei/n 16:13) 'declare' (ἀναγγέλλein 16:13-15). In this paper, the study focuses on the text in which is written that παράκλητος 'testifies'(μαρτυρei/n 15:26-27). Also, the texts (Rom 8:16, Heb 10:15, 1 John 5:6) in which the Holy Spirit, expressed as πνεῦμα, is described as “bearing witness” (μαρτυρei/n) in the New Testament other than the Gospel of John are studied with comparison of those in John’s Gospel. The Spirit, together with our spirit, witnesses that we are God’s children (συμμαρτυρei/n Rom 8:16). The Holy Spirit testifies to us by quoting the Old Testament (μαρτυρei/n Hebrews 10:15). The Spirit is the truth and the one who testifies (μαρτυρei/n 1 John 5:6). Acts 5:32, which describes the Holy Spirit as a witness(μάρτυς), also shows the witnessing ministry of the Holy Spirit. For a comparative analysis, Michael B. Thompson's textual reciprocal interpretation method was selected and modified to identify how the texts are related or not with each other. In John 15:26, παράκλητος originates from the Father and Jesus, and since He testifies about Jesus, the relationship with the Trinity is emphasized. Through a comparative study of John 15:26-27 and related New Testament texts, the ministry witnessed by παράκλητος, the Spirit of truth, has continuity with the ministry witnessed by the Holy Spirit(πνεῦμα), and it is revealed that παράκλητος is the Holy Spirit. In the context of παράκλητος's testifying, hatred and persecution of the world appear together, but it can be found that the ultimate victory came from Jesus(John 16:33, 1 John 5:4). Therefore, in the Gospel of John it can be confirmed that παράκλητος testifies about Jesus in the relationship of the Trinity, and there is ultimately victory although suffering and persecution appear together.
