보험산업 종사자의 인력 전망과 생산성 분석

이 논문에서는 정년연장으로 인한 보험산업의 인력구성원들의 고령화 발생으로 예상되는 문제 중 생산성에 중점을 두고 먼저 보험산업에 종사하는 인력의 생산성을 분석하였다. 근속-임금과 생산성-임금 프로파일 추정방식에 따라 보험산업 종사 인력의 생산성을 분석한 결과 생산성 피크지점은 40대 후반(48세)으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과를 볼 때, 보험산업 근속-임금 프로파일은 타 산업에 비해 특이한 구조를 보인다. 이는 중장년 이후의 인력활용 방안 마련의 중요성이 다른 업종에 비해 매우 크다는 점을 시사한다. 보험산업의 경우 기업 측면에서는 정년연장에 따른 비용부담을 줄이면서 인력활용을 높이기 위한 효과적인 방안을 마련하여야 한다. 또한 인적자원의 숙련 수준에 대한 의존도가 높은 보험산업은 정년연장 정책 속에서 지속 가능한 경쟁력과 생산성 향상을 담보할 수 있는 인력관리 방안 마련이 필요할 것이다.
Abstract
We analyzed current states of extension of retirement age in insurance industry and productivity of them as they are getting older. We applied the long-service wage and productivity wage profiling system and in the results, the peak of the productivity of employees in insurance industry is 48 years. In this regards, the productivity of them is much lower than those of other industry such as manufacturing. This means the human resource management is necessary for them. This action will be effective for HR staffs in insurance industry and also policy makers who are planning to prepare some supports system for the employees in insurance industry. We suggested this action should be designed to upgrade the competitiveness and productivity of them by assigning strategic human resource management.
