독신 남성노인의 성생활 경험과 유형에 관한 연구

본 연구는 독신 남성노인이 살아가면서 겪게 되는 성생활의 경험을 유형별로 구분하고, 그 의미를 이해하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 10명의 독신남성노인을 대상으로 선정하였다. 연구결과, 참여자들은 욕구해소 형, 욕구체념 형, 욕구전환 형 등의 성생활유형을 가진 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 다음과 같이 제언을 하였다. 첫째, 욕구해소 형은 개인의 성 욕구 해소가 육체적 행위에 그치지 않고 정서적인 관계로 도약할 수 있도록 상호간의 배려, 동반자 의식의 공유 등 정서적인 부분을 강화하는 방안을 마련할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 욕구체념 형과 욕구전환 형은 이성들과 자연스럽게 접촉할 수 있는 노인 맞선 프로그램, 노인 댄스교실과 같은 프로그램을 마련함으로써 욕구 분출의 기회를 마련할 필요가 있다. 마지막으로, 노인의 내면에 숨겨진 성적 욕구의 실체를 인정하고 이에 근거한 노인의 자기성적 자기결정권 행사를 인정하는 사회적 인식을 개발하여 노인의 성적 자기결정권행사를 통한 노후의 삶의 만족도를 제고하는 방안을 마련할 필요가 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to understand the experiences of sexual lives of elderly men living alone, types, and its meaning. To achieve the objective, a survey was conducted for 10 elderly men living alone. As a result of the study, it is showed that respondents divided into three types; solving desire type, resigning desire type and converting desire type. Based on the classification of types, the following suggestions for each type were made. First, the solving desire type needs to establish a way to reinforce emotional differences, such as mutual consideration and sharing, so that individual sex needs to leap into emotional relationships without physical needs. resigning desire type and converting desire type. Second, resigning desire type and converting desire type need to create an opportunity to create an appetite by arranging programs such as Senior Citizens' Program, which is natural contact with the elderly, and programs such as the elderly dance classes. Third, it is necessary to recognize the truth of the sexual desire hidden inside the old man and to increase the satisfaction of life in the old age of senior citizens.
