메타인지는 인지 현상에 대한 지식과 인지, 또한 자기 자신의 기억, 이해력, 인지에 대한 통제를 말한다. 메타인지는 자기인식과 유사하게 자신에 대해 이해하고 잘 아는 것이고, 이는 태도나 행동 등에 영향을 미친다. 이 연구는 개인의 성격유형과 메타인지의 관련성을 설명했다. 통제위치는 성격 심리학 중에 하나다. 이를 통해 개인이 자기 삶을 통제할 수 있다고 여기는 정도를 파악할 수 있다. 통제위치는 결과가 자신의 노력과 관련 있다는 믿음 (내적통제)이나 노력해도 불확정 요소 많아 결과가 개인의 힘으로 해낼 수 없다는 생각 (외적통제)이다. A유형 행동패턴을 가진 사람은 급한 성격을 지니고 있는 반면에 B유형 행동패턴을 지닌 사람들은 더 느리며 친화적이다. 따라서 메타인지는 통제위치, A/B유형 행동패턴에 따라서 높아지거나 낮아질 수 있다. 본 연구는 247명의 대학생을 대상으로 진행한 설문을 통해 실증분석을 실시했다. 연구 결과는 메타인지가 통제위치과 행동패턴과 모두 유의한 긍정적인 상관관계를 가지고 있는 것을 보여준다. 또한 본 연구는 보다 나은 메타인지를 위해 필요한 요소가 무엇인지를 입증했다. 그리고 긍정적 메타인지를 통해 개인은 긍정적 태도와 행동을 가지게 되고 나아가 긍정적 결과를 가져 올 수 있음을 강조했다.
Abstract
Meta-cognition is a type of knowledge and cognition about cognitive phenomena, and also is the control of one’s memory, comprehension and cognition. Meta-cognition likes self-cognition and it can be seen as individual comprehend him or herself. It will effect on individual's attitudes or behaviors. This paper explains the relationship between meta-cognition and personality. Locus of control is a belief that work can be done is depend on how much you have try (internal control orientation), and a belief that whatever how much you try, they think most of things depend on fate and fate can be seen as a decisive factor (external control orientation). Type A behavior pattern is more urgent, while type B behavior pattern is more and more peaceful. Type A/B behavior pattern could increase or decrease meta-cognition. In this paper, we gathered 247 Korean college students’ questionnaires and made the empirical analysis. As the result, meta-cognition was related to both locus of control and behavior pattern.
