외국인근로자의 의사소통능력과 한국생활적응과의 관계

최근 우리사회는 저출생문제, 초고령화사회로의 진입이라는 사회문제를 안고 있다. 이는 우리나라의 인구구조의 큰 변화를 가져온 것은 물론 노동시장의 인력구조의 변화도 가져왔다. 본 연구는 충남 OO시의 서비스업에 종사하는 외국인근로자를 대상으로 한국생활에 적응하는데 어떠한 어려움이 있는지 알아보고자 진행되었다. 연구결과 서비스업종사자는 40대가 전체의 28.8%로 가장 높게 차지하고 있었으며, 중국국적이 전체의 62.3%로 가장 높게 나타났다. 비자형태는 방문취업(H-2)가 17.1%로 가장 높게 나타났으며, 거주기간은 10년 이상이 전체의 24.7%로 나타나 비교적 장기간 체류하는 것으로 나타났다. 한국어능력에 있어서는 말하기와 듣기는 비교적 잘하는 것으로 응답하였으나, 읽기와 쓰기는 상대적으로 어려워하는 것으로 나타났다. 노동강도에 있어서는 보통이라고 대부분 응답하였으며, 만족도영역에서는 일만족도가 가장 높게 나타났다. 또한 의사소통능력이 높을수록, 거주기간이 길수록 한국생활적응의 힘든 점에 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 외국인근로자들의 한국생활적응과 관련하여 정책적 실천적 제언을 하고자 하였다.
Abstract
Recently, our society has a social problem of low birth and entry into a super-aged society. This brought about a major change in the nation's population structure as well as a change in the labor market's workforce structure. The study was conducted to find out if foreign workers in the service industry in OO, South Chungcheong Province had any difficulties adjusting to life in Korea. According to the study, people in their 40s accounted for the highest portion of the service sector at 28.8 percent of the total, with Chinese nationals accounting for 62.3 percent of the total. Visitor employment(H-2) was the highest with 17.1 percent, and the residence period was 24.7 percent of the total for more than 10 years, indicating that they stay relatively long. In terms of Korean language skills, the respondents said they speak and listen relatively well, but reading and writing were found to be relatively difficult. Most of the respondents said “mornal” in terms of labor intensity, and the satisfaction level showed the highest level of satisfaction. Also, communication skills have a negative impact on the difficulties of adapting to korean life. Based on these research results, the government intended to make practical policy suggestions regarding foreign workers’ adaptation to korean life.
