외국인 근로자의 한국어 수준이의사소통능력과 대인관계능력에 미치는 영향:대구･경북지역을 중심으로

(연구목적) 본 연구의 목적은 대구･경북지역에 근무하는 외국인 근로자의 한국어 수준이 지역과 산업현장에서의 의사소통하는 능력 및 직장과 지역 내에서의 대인관계능력에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 이를 토대로 외국인근로자의 한국어 지원에 대한 정책적 방향성을 제시하고자 하였다. (연구방법) 본 연구의 방법은 대구･경북지역에서 근무하고 있는 외국인 근로자를 대상으로 실시한 설문조사를 분석하였다. 또한 선행연구를 바탕으로 외국인근로자의 한국어와 의사소통능력, 대인관계능력과의 상관관계를 알기 위해 상관분석과 각 요인간 차이분석을 시행하였다. (연구결과) 첫째, 대구･경북지역 외국인 근로자의 한국어 수준은 의사소통능력 중 언어적 의사소통과 대인관계능력 하위요인 중 처음 관계 맺기, 정서적 지지를 제외한 나머지 영역에서 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 한국어 능력 수준에 따라 언어적, 비언어적 의사소통 능력 모두 차이가 있으므로 한국어 수준이 높으면 지역과 현장에서 긍정적인 생활을 할 수 있음을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 한국어 수준의 차이는 대인관계능력의 하위요소 처음 관계 맺기, 권리주장, 자기 노출, 정서적 지지, 갈등 다루기 중 ‘권리주장’에는 유의미한 차이를 보여 외국인 근로자의 인권 증진에 긍정적인 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. (결론 및 제언) 첫째, 외국인 근로자의 한국어 수준에 따라 의사소통능력에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 한국어 교육의 지속적인 지원이 필요함을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 외국인 근로자의 한국어 수준이 대인관계능력에 미치는 영향력은 자기주장만 유의미하게 나타났다. 셋째, 외국인 근로자가 지역과 현장에서 잘 적응하기 위해서 지속적인 한국어 교육지원을 통해 의사소통능력을 높일 필요가 있다.
Abstract
(Purpose) The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of the Korean language level of foreign workers working in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions on their ability to communicate in the region and industrial sites and on their interpersonal skills at work and in the region, and based on this, the Korean language level of foreign workers is analyzed. The aim was to present policy direction for support. (Research methods) The method of this study was to analyze a survey conducted on foreign workers working in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions. In addition, based on previous research, correlation analysis and difference analysis between each factor were conducted to determine the correlation between foreign workers' Korean language, communication skills, and interpersonal skills. (Findings) First, the Korean language level of foreign workers in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions was found to be positively correlated in all areas except verbal communication and interpersonal relationship sub-factors, except for initial relationship and emotional support. Second, since there are differences in both verbal and non-verbal communication skills depending on the level of Korean language proficiency, it can be seen that a high level of Korean language can lead to a positive life in the region and field. Third, the difference in Korean language level shows a significant difference in 'claiming rights' among the sub-elements of interpersonal skills such as establishing a relationship for the first time, asserting rights, self-exposure, emotional support, and handling conflict, which plays a positive role in promoting the human rights of foreign workers. appeared. (Conclusion and recommendations) First, it appears that communication skills are affected depending on the level of Korean language of foreign workers, indicating that continuous support for Korean language education is necessary. Second, the influence of foreign workers' Korean language level on their interpersonal skills was found to be significant only for assertiveness. Third, in order for foreign workers to adapt well to the region and field, it is necessary to improve their communication skills through continuous Korean language education support.
