Abstract
Balanced Scorecard as a comprehensive, strategic and systems are under a lot of attention because of The theoretical superiority to overcome the problem of traditional performance system and causal relationship between the performance measures. This study analyses the relationship among performance measures in Balanced Scorecard between BSC adoption firms and Non-BSC adoption firms. In this study, I especially examines whether statistically significant difference in the relationship among performance measures of BSC exists or not. BSC adopting firms compares to Non-adopting firms, there was a statistically significant positive difference in learning and growth perspective performance, internal process perspective performance and financial perspective performance. It may be the result of the effects of adopting BSC.. Path analysis indicated that, BSC adoption firms has statistically significant relationship between internal process perspective performance, learning and growth perspective performance to financial perspective performance. over Non-adopting firms. while the relationship between internal process perspective performance, learning and growth perspective performance was not statistically significant. Time lag effects exists in relationship between internal process perspective performance, learning and growth perspective performance to financial perspective performance. These results comfirms the effects of adopting BSC, To maximise the effects of BSC adoption, we need to closely analyses and effectively manage the relationship among performance measures that reflect the time lag effects.
