입국 초기 북한이탈주민 대상 단기 진로개발교육 효과 연구: 학습자의 진로인식 수준 변화를 중심으로

이 연구는 입국 초기 북한이탈주민이 남한의 직업세계로 원활하게 진입하는 것을 목적으로 개발된 진로개발교육에 참여한 북한이탈주민의 진로인식 변화 수준을 분석하고 북한이탈주민 대상 프로그램 개발에서의 시사점을 도출하는데 목적을 둔다. 이를 달성하기 위하여 하나원 수료 직전의 입국 초기 북한이탈주민 31명을 대상으로 프로그램 참여 전후의 진로미결정과 진로탐색장애에서의 변화를 차이 검증하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 교육에 참여한 북한이탈주민의 진로미결정 및 진로탐색장애 상태가 개선되었다. 이로부터 단기간의 교육을 통한 입국 초기 북한이탈주민 진로개발의 가능성을 발견할 수 있었으며 따라서 적극적인 교육적 지원이 필요함을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 진로개발모형으로 전형적 모형의 하나인 인지적 진로정보처리모형(자기이해-직업세계이해-의사결정)을 활용하였으나 입국 초기 북한이탈주민의 진로탐색장애를 개선하는데 역부족이었다. 상술하면 교육 실시 결과 입국 초기 북한이탈주민이 직업선택에의 흥미 제고에서 낮은 수준의 변화가 발견되었다. 즉, 입국 초기 북한이탈주민을 대상으로 한 교육프로그램 개발에 있어 북한과 다른 진로개발과정을 경험해야 할 직업선택의 필요성과 중요성을 이해할 수 있고 직업선택으로 관심을 집중시킬 수 있는 단계가 삽입되어야 함을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 입국 초기 북한이탈주민을 대상으로 한 교육프로그램의 내용 및 활동 개발에 있어 북한이탈주민이 직면하는 특정 과제에 초점을 맞춰 이를 지원하는 구체적 도구의 개발이 요구됨을 알 수 있다. 상술하면 대인관계 어려움, 중요타인과의 갈등, 경제적 어려움 등이 입국 초기 북한이탈주민의 진로탐색을 저해하는 요소로 쉽게 완화되지 않는 과제임을 충분히 고려해야 할 것이다. 넷째, 입국 초기 북한이탈주민을 대상으로 한 진로개발 교육프로그램을 개발하고 운영함에 있어 특히 학력에 따른 학습자에 대한 배려가 필요함을 알 수 있다.
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the cognitive change of learners who participate in a career development program for North Korean defectors with early stage in their entrance. To accomplish this goal, it was employed paired comparison t-test, t-test, ANOVA as statistical analysis tools to demonstrate the difference between pre-participation program and post-participation program. To achieve this objective, a career development program tailored to North Korean defectors was performed for 31 participants. And participants had taken assessment tests related to their career indecision and career barrier before and after performing a education program. Paired comparison t-test, t-test, ANOVA were used as statistical methods to demonstrate their change in terms of a career indecision and career barrier between pre-participation and post-participation. To sum up results of this study, first, North Korean defectors changed positively comparing pre-participation to post-participation. Through this result, it can be found possibilities that a kind of short education program will be effective for North Korean defectors’ cognitive change of finding careers. Second, it should be reviewed to apply a typical career development model to North Korean defectors because there are some factors which have not changed significantly, for example to boost their interest about job-selection. It can be explained that they need to additional steps to motivate themselves to explorer careers and to understand why they have to develop their career development competency unlike North Korea. Third, contents and activities of education programs for North Korean defectors should be considered what problems are being faced by them urgently, such as families who remain in North Korea, broker fee, and so on. Fourth, it will be more effective if it is performed considering gaps according to their educational background when a education program is provided to North Korean defectors.
