和歌理解分析の一つの方法として空間概念を取り入れることができる。本稿では古橋信孝の述べた空間概念をたたき台として古今集の四季歌を都·郊外·地方という観点から和歌分析を試みた。そして空間概念の客観的な基準を確保するために、平安当時の法令例集である『類聚三代格』の記述を土台として空間区分を試みた。その結果、平安貴族の享受した文化的空間は平安京を中心とした都とその周辺にあたる郊外が彼らの主な文芸空間であり、その空間を通して創出した文化が地方に流入する段階にまでは至らなかったことを確認した。本稿では四季歌を中心として分析を試みたため、恋歌や雑歌に関しては紙幅の都合上論じなかったが、空間的には四季歌とほぼ同じ様相を帯びると考えられる。
Abstract
This dissertation tested a concept of place as a way to understand “Waka.” It examined the song singing four seasons in Kokinshu with three concepts of place- the city of government, suburb and country- with a record of Ruiju Sandaikaku as a standard. As a result, the fact that Heian nobles’ cultural place was centered on the city of government and suburb of Heiankyo was found. However, a culture that derived from the cultural place of Heian nobles could not had been reach to countries at that era. Despite love songs and folk songs are not treated in this dissertation, within the perspective of the place, the songs of four seasons would not be different from the love songs and folk songs. Detailed studies would be on the next dissertation.
