『신고킨와카슈(新古今和歌集)』의 꿈 노래에 관한 고찰 -사계가(四季歌)를 중심으로-

『신고킨슈』의 사계가에 수록된 꿈 관련 노래는 계절감을 중심으로 특징적으로 읊어진다. 『신고킨슈』 이전 팔대집에 보이는 사계가의 꿈 노래에서는 꿈속 세계를 중심으로 꿈에의 의지에 초점이 맞춰져 읊어지는 양상을 보인다. 『신고킨슈』에서 꿈은 현실과의 모호성을 띠며 현실과 분리된 공간이 아님이 나타나는데 현실과 연결된 하나의 공간으로서의 꿈이 읊어지고 있다. 『만요슈』 및 『신고킨슈』 이전 팔대집의 꿈 노래에서는 도피처로서의 꿈이 중점적으로 보였으나 『신고킨슈』에 이르러서 꿈은 현실과 동일선상에서 인식되며 현실이 중심이 된 꿈 노래로 변주하게 된다. 또한, 『신고킨슈』에서는 꿈 노래의 가수가 사계가에 집중되는 양상이 나타난다. 자연에 대한 관점이 덧없음의 상징인 꿈과 접목되어 애조를 띠며 감상적으로 읊어지기에 이른 것이다. 『신고킨슈』의 사계가에 보이는 꿈 관련 노래에서는 사계의 배경을 바탕으로 계절적 감각과 꿈이 조합되어 현실을 살아가는 작자의 심경과 그 무상한 현실이 담겨 있다.
Abstract
Among the poems of the four seasons included in Shinkokinwakashu, the dream-themed poems are recited distinctively with a focus on the sense of season. In the preceding poetry collections of Kokinwakashu and Senzaiwakashu, a majority of poems highlight the futility of life and the reliance on dreams in the dream-themed poems of four seasons. Poems in Shinkokinwakashu portrays dream as having blurred boundaries with the reality, emphasizing that the dream and the reality are a single, connected space. Whereas previous songs on dreams describe the dream as a refuge, poems in Shinkokinwakashu perceive the dream and the reality on an equal footing. The number of dream-themed poems of four seasons in Shinkokinwakashu is 18 and this takes up the largest share of Hachidaishu. As its view of the nature is combined with the “dream”, a symbol of transience, the poems of the four seasons begin to take on a melancholic tone. In the dream-themed poems of the four seasons, the word “dream” is combined with a sense of the seasons, which again expresses the author’s feeling about life and the transient reality in Shinkokinwakashu.
