근세후기, 일본의 연중행사에 관한 고찰 - 에도와 오사카의 풍속을 중심으로 -

本論文は近世後期の日本の年中行事についての考察である。筆者は以前 『江戸名所図会』、『東都歳事記』、そして『江戸名所花暦』など江戸に関 する文献に表れている名所、俳諧、そして年中行事について検討し、開幕と ともに発達した大都市江戸の庶民生活について調べた。しかし、＇江戸＇と いう新生大都市の名所と俳諧、そして年中行事が中心であったので、同時代 江戸と並んで商業都市として繁昌した大阪と長い歴史·文化を誇る京都の風俗 にまでは手が届かなかった。従って本論文では、近世後期の風俗を記録した『守貞謾稿』という文献を調べ、江戸と京坂の風俗を比較·分析し、庶民の生 活像を統合して把握して見ようとした。また、各々の風俗はどんな変化をた どってきたのか、江戸と京阪の風俗にはどんな共通点と相違点があるのかな ど、江戸の諸文献との比較を通して明らかにしてみた。その結果、江戸、大 阪、そして京都という地域によって行事の内容と方法が多少違っていて、行 事の意味も変化していったことが確認できた。特に、五月五日の端午と十月 二十日の大阪の＇誓文払＇と江戸の＇恵比寿講＇からはこのような現象が目 立つと言えよう。それは各地域的な特徴、すなわち江戸は武家を中心とした大 名家の風習が、大阪は商業の都市として商売と関連した風俗が発達してきたこ とが分かった。これらは今日の日本の年中行事の性格を理解するにも役に立つ であろう。
Abstract
This paper is a study of the annual events of the late Edo period. We previously studied famous places and Haikai and annual events appearing on the references like "Edomeishozue", "Totosaijiki" and "Edomeishohanakoyomi", and examined the people's living which has been developed with the start of the Shogunate. This mainly focused onEdo as a newborn metropolis, but did not mention thriving Osaka as a commercial city and Kyoto boasting long history and culture. Through the comparative examination of "Morisadamako" and other references published in Edo, we will have the integrated view of the people's living in Edo and Keihan. We can show that what is the common things and differences between Edo and Keihan, and how they have been changed by comparing of references. As a result, the contents and the method of the events was not only different, we also could find the changes of the meaning of the events. Especially, we could find that there were noticeable differences inMay 5 of Tango , November 20th of Seibunbarai and Ebisuko of Edo.
