思考動詞「思う」が有する機能に関する考察 - <と思う>の包括的機能の解明に向けて -
A Consideration about the Function of a Verb of Thinking “OMOU” - For the Elucidation of the Comprehensive Function of “TO OMOU” -

The purpose of this study is to examine a function of a verb of thinking “OMOU”, by a method not to depend on a Modality Theory, and this is placed as the part of the making of basics for the elucidation of the comprehensive function that a linguistic form <TO- OMOU> has. In this paper, in particular, about the function and the principle that the writer derived as a supposition in Otani (2015), the writer inspected the invocation possibility of the function, the principle directed at the example that particle except “TO (the quotation)” touches with the front of “OMOU” (“NI-OMOU”, “WO-OMOU”), and the dialect discourse which do not show “TO”. As a result, it was confirmed that the temporary function of a verb of thinking “OMOU” was approximately applicable to the examples which are observed in this paper. On the other hand, about the principle, it was highlighted that the point that needed the further correction including the border with “the true intention” and “the thing appeared in a heart”, a condition and the factor when the duality of “the place” did not occur.
