다자이 오사무(太宰治) 『젠조를 그리다(善蔵を思ふ)』의 시대와 공간- 1940년의 미타카(三鷹)와 쓰가루(津軽) -

Abstract

In this research, I examined "Thinking about Zenzo" published in April 1940, and described the space of Mitaka and Tsugaru, which appeared in Dazai literature at the time of the Second Sino-Japanese War, from inside and outside the work. I tried to evaluate the work comprehensively by exploring and carefully considering the <I> image based on it. First of all, the background of the work is the booming economy along with the strict control of the Sino-Japanese War during the war. The publishing industry was generally booming, and it was an era when novels would sell unless they touched on the policies of the authorities. In this background, Dazai moved to Mitaka that was formed by the expansion of the Tokyo metropolitan area after the Great Kanto Earthquake and the industrialization of munitions during the war, bought expensive roses, traveled overnight with his wife's family for a prize, and met some Tsugaru artists who live in Tokyo. <I> recalls falling into self-loathing about two major topics: the story of a deceived rose and the story of meeting Tsugaru artists living in Tokyo. At the moment of that memory, it was confirmed that the rose that I thought was deceived and bought was actually a fine rose. <I>, who suffers from guilt, buys a rose and fails at a rally of artists in his hometown, but he confronts the weakness and accepts it. <I> found out that the fake farmer was blinded by the high sales, but I feel kindness when I see myself, who is often misunderstood as shallow. It can be said that he was released from his feelings for his hometown Tsugaru. <I> cannot say that I sympathize with Zenzo's miserable way of life. Even if it's only a small moment of realization, "God exists" and "As long as the rose is alive, I am the king of the heart." From the point of thinking about how to live, it should be understood that the eyes of empathy are poured into Zenzo.
