초록
The aim of this article is to report three different approaches to anaphoric resolutions from generative grammar, functional-discourse grammar and cognitive grammar. Generative grammar deals with it in terms of structural and formal analyses mainly in sentence level but it has caused some disputable arguments in discourse level. Therefore some grammarians from functional-discourse grammar and cognitive grammar have formulated their theories on this issue focusing on meaning in terms of discourse-leveled communication and cognitive entities respectively. Functional-discourse grammar has resolved some discourse-specific anaphoric problems but it also exposed several cognition-related problems and this had led cognitive grammarians to the creation of the solution to the problems. In conclusion, anaphora resolutions are to be handled with the three theories in a complementary way.
