지역사회 박물관의 아웃리치를 통한 협력: 현황과 실천 방안을 중심으로

박물관은 살아있는 유기체와 같은 시스템을 가지고 있기에 지역사회 요구를 수용하기도 하고 지역사회 내에서 지역사회 정체성을 확립해주며 동시에 박물관 스스로의 정체성을 구현하기도 한다. 박물관 아웃리치(outreach)는 기관 외부로 뻗어 나가서 지역사회와 같이하며 박물관의 정체성을 확인하는 적극적 과정을 의미한다. 이때 박물관은 단지 박물관의 영역을 확장 하는 역할에 그치는 것이 아니라 그 지역사회와 협력(collaboration)하는 결과를 가져온다. 박물관은 지역사회에서 중심적인 역할을 하며 의미 있는 전시나 교육을 통해 타 기관과 더불어 진화하는 과정을 거친다. 본 연구에서는 박물관이 외부로 찾아 가는 행태, 아웃리치 결과를 가져올 수 있는 외부기관과의 파트너십(partnership), 협력 또는 협업을 통해 아웃리치를 공고히 하는 조건과 결과 탐색에 관한 내용을 살펴보았다. 박물관과 유관기관 간의 협력이나 협업 시 단순한 영역의 확장을 넘어서 서로 부족하거나 필요한 부분을 보완하여 역할을 재조합하는 물리적 결합, 그리고 인력, 재정, 조직 간의 협업과 각 기관의 목적 및 목표 설정을 위한 화학적 결합을 통해 가시적 결과를 도출하는 것이 필요하다.
Abstract
The museum has a living organism-like system that accommodates community needs, establishes community identity within the community, and at the same time embodies the museum's own identity. The museum's outsourcing means an active process of reaching outside the institution, being like a community and identifying the museum's identity. The museum does not just serve as an extension of the museum's scope, but rather results in collaboration with the community. Museums play a central role in the community and evolve with other institutions through meaningful exhibitions or education. In this study, we looked at the museum's behavior of going outside, its partnership with external institutions that could bring out the results of the outriggers, conditions for solidifying the outriggers through cooperation or collaboration, and the search for results. Cooperation or collaboration between museums and related agencies is required to produce tangible results beyond the expansion of simple areas, through collaboration among people, finance and organizations physically recombining roles by complementing each other's deficiencies or needs, and through chemical combinations for the purpose and goal setting of each institution.
