미술교육에서 포용성의 의미와 실천 방법에 대한 고찰

교육부는 미래사회가 요구하는 교육과 환경을 마련하고자 핵심역량 중심의 2022 개정 교육과정을 공포하였다. 2022 개정교육과정의 주요 방향은 ‘포용성과 창의성을 갖춘 주도적인 사람’의 육성이다. 포용성이라는 키워드는 현재 전 세계적인 교육프로젝트의 중심일 뿐 아니라 우리나라 국가 수준의 다양한 정책연구에서도 언급되고 있는 방향점으로, 이는 개인의 성장과 더불어 공동체적인 관점에서 모두 함께 지속가능한 미래를 준비해야 한다는 의지를 바탕으로 하고 있다. 이에 본고에서는 포용성의 의미를 살펴보고, 2022년 개정 미술과 교육과정과 포용성의 연관성에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 교육에서 포용성이 등장한 배경에 대해 국내외 자료를 통해 살펴보았으며 미술교육에서 포용성의 등장과 전개, 의미에 대한 자료들을 정리하였다. 마지막으로 미술교육에서 포용적 교육의 내용과 방법에 대해 논의하며, 앞으로의 실천을 위한 제안점으로 타분야 전문가와의 적극적인 교류, 대상에 따른 교육의 세분화, 교재의 개발, 평가 방법에서의 형평성, 그리고 교사에 대한 지원을 제시하였다.
Abstract
The Ministry of Education has announced the revised 2022 curriculum and the main direction of the revised curriculum is to foster proactive individuals with inclusion and creativity. The keyword ‘inclusion’ is not only the central focus of global educational projects, but also mentioned in various policy research at the national level in Korea. It is based on the intention to prepare a sustainable future together from a community perspective, alongside personal growth. In this regard, this study examines the meaning of inclusion in the 2022 revised curriculum and explores the relationship between art education and inclusiveness. To do so, literature on the background of inclusion in education and information on the emergence and significance of inclusion in art education are reviewed. Lastly, the content, methods, and considerations for implementing inclusive education in art education are discussed and active exchanges with experts in other fields, segmentation of education according to target, development of textbooks, fairness in evaluation methods, and support for teachers were suggested as future action plans.
