지구적 환경 위기는 인류 공동체의 책임의식을 환기시키며 지속가능한 미래를 향한 전 지구적 논의를 촉발하였다. 이러한문제의식은 UN과 세계환경개발위원회(WCED)의 주도 하에 ‘지속가능발전’(SD)으로 구체화되었으며, 우리나라도 이에 부응하여 ‘국가지속가능발전기본계획’에 따라 UN-SGDs를 국가 현실에 맞게 재구성한 ‘국가지속가능발전목표’(K-SDGs)를 추진중이다. ‘지속가능발전교육’(ESD)은 K-SDGs의 핵심 이행 축으로, 이 중 환경·생태 영역을 총체적 전환의 관점에서 구체화한 생태전환교육은 2022 개정 교육과정이 추구하는 핵심 방향이기도 하다. 본 연구는 K-SDGs의 환경 목표 이행 전략으로서 2022 개정 미술과 교육과정을 기반으로 한 학교급별 생태전환교육을 제안하였다. 이를 위해 동시대 미술의 핵심 담론으로 부상한 생태·환경 이슈를 매개로 생태전환교육과의 연계 가능성을 탐색하고, 실천 목표, 내용 영역 및 요소를 도출하여미술교육을 통한 생태전환교육의 구체적 실천 방안을 제시하고자 하였다.
Abstract
The global environmental crisis has awakened the human community's sense of responsibility and sparked global discussions toward a sustainable future. Discussions led by the UN and the WCED have manifested in the ‘Sustainable Development’(SD) initiative. Korea’s response has been to establish the K-SDGs and emphasize ‘Education for Sustainable Development’(ESD) as an educational approach to achieving these goals. Among ESD’s domains, ecological transition education has emerged as a key educational directive in the 2022 Revised Korean National Curriculum. This study proposed an ecological transition education framework for school art educat ion based on the Curriculum as part of the K-SDGs implementation strategy. By integrating contemporary art discourses on ecology and the environment, this study identifies educational goals and content elements and suggests practical strategies for implementation.
