정서장애 아동과 일반 아동 및 부모가 지각하는 양육태도와 귀인성향 비교

본 연구에서는 정서장애 아동과 그 부모, 정서장애 아동과 일반 아동, 그리고 정서장애 아동의 부모와 일반 아동의 부모가 지각하는 양육태도와 귀인성향의 차이를 알아보았다. 정신과 전문의와 임상심리전문가로부터 소아기 정서장애로 진단받은 9~14세의 아동 30명과 그들의 부모, 그리고 일반 아동 30명과 그들의 부모를 대상으로 연구를 실시하였다. 측정 도구는 부모양육태도와 아동용 귀인성향 질문지, 부모용 귀인성향 질문지를 사용하였으며, 집단별 차이를 t-test와 일원변량분석을 통해 비교 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 정서장애 아동은 일반 아동과 그 부모, 정서장애 아동의 부모보다 양육태도에서 부정적으로 평가하였다. 또한 아동의 행동에 대한 귀인성향에서 정서장애 아동과 일반 아동, 그리고 일반 아동의 부모는 아동의 행동에 대한 원인추론에서 노력과 같은 내적 요인에 귀인하는 경향이 강하였다. 그러나 정서장애 아동의 부모는 외적 요인(과제 난이도)에 더 귀인하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 결과는 정서장애 아동의 부모가 가진 인지적 추론과정의 변화를 통해 아동을 객관적으로 이해하도록 하고, 보다 긍정적인 양육환경을 제공하는 것이 필요하다는 점을 시사한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences of perceived parenting attitudes and attribution tendency among children with emotional disorder and normal children and their parents. Subjects of this study were 30 children at the ages between 9 and 14 who were diagnosed for childhood emotional disorder by clinical psychologists, 30 normal children, and 60 their parents. Data were collected through surveys on perceived parenting attitudes, attribution tendency questionnaires of children and parents. These collected data were analyzed by t-test and one way ANOVA. The results of this study were as follows. First, perceived parenting attitudes of children with emotional disorder were evaluate more negatively than the other 3 groups. Second, both children and parents of normal children tend to attribute to internal factors of the children’s behavior such as effort. However, the parents of children with emotional disorder tend to attribute to external factors of children’s behavior such as difficulties of tasks. These results suggest that parents of children with emotional disorder need to change parenting attitudes and attribution tendency about their children’s behavior in order to understand their children more objectively and provide more positive environment for their children. The suggestion of this study and recommendation of further research were discussed.
